Tekota is a great reel if you want to spend around 200 on a line counter counter. Okuma makes a nice line of reels. I have used magdas and some of them are 15 years old. The convector is an awesome reel as is the coldwater, I have those as well. I also have two diawa sealine reels that have lasted me a really long time. I just bought some Penn 309 li e cou ters and they work bit not my favorite. If you are going to run the TX 44 board you need a nice reel with really good cranking power and a double anti reverse.

Your question is rather vague. Knowing your specific application could narrow it down more.

I have had Tekotas for years and considered them the gold standard of trolling reels. I just sold my last one today. I ran two Coldwaters last year and actually prefer the drag system, handle and retrieve speed. I'll be buying a few more coldwaters before next season, they are the best trolling reels for the $$ imo. They work well for me anyway.

The best bang for your buck would be and Okuma Convector cv30 lc.....

I feel the Okuma Catalina "was" the best overall trolling line counter, but they yanked them from production! Not happy about that....So I would say the best LC trolling reel on the market today, money being no object, would be the Shimano Tekota.

Its too bad one cant dissect before buying but, if you had the opportunity to take them apart and examine the components for quality and integrity, the Tekotas win hands down.

I've been using the Saltist 20LC reels for the past two seasons and have really liked them. They have a very fast line pick-up loud clicker and a good drag. Great if you long line smaller cranks...a bit of work retrieving the bigger stuff though.
