If you want a size smaller I like Bucher baby shallow raiders. Square lip, flat sides. Get perch, crappie, sucker colors. Great twitcher, caught many fish on them.

6" Jakes have a good action, both straight cranked or twitched. My 13 yr old daughter likes it as she does a pull pause while reeling down and has paid off for her.

I'm a slammer fan. Like the rounded six inch over the seven inch, square lip. Just my opinion though.
