I have two flush mount onix units in the boat that is stored in a attached non heated garage. Should I be concerned about the cold temps affecting the units? Is there anything I should do to prevent any disasters, (besides building a heated garage). That's next on the list!!!!

I store my rig indoors here in MN every year. It's in a non-heated garage. I run Lowrance HDS Gen 2 units, and really never take them off the boat in winter. Never once had any issues.

I think common practice suggests taking them off.....but as long as your rig is inside, temp should have little impact.

Sales rep told me lowrance hds are good to -50*F. I still removed mine and wouldn't leave 3000$ in the boat it took me 15 minutes to take the whole front panel with the graph and the graph out of my dash, don't know about the birds in the fall I know I have had the in the boat out side at 10* often so if your garage is attached to the house it probably won't get that cold anyway.
