| I know Fall is still aways off, but I was wondering what your favorite big bucktail is. Thanks.

Last year I fell in love with the Shady Tail, nice bucktail with plenty of thump. |

| I make my own. I've got some that are almost a foot long with the biggest fluted Indiana blades that I could get my hands on. I have to weight them in a couple of places, but when you cast them, they fly a mile and really push a ton of water. I put up a scan of a couple of 10"ers. One with a fluted blade and the other with a tortoise shell blade. If I want them to run deeper, I'll go with big French blades.

Location: north central wisconsin | I like Wingos(Hellraiser tackle) Bear paw. The thing is like 12" long, but fishes easy, and catches muskies from opener on. Runs a bit high out of the box for many situations, but the wood body is easy to weight. |

Location: Minneapolis,Minnesota | Land O' Lakes makes one of the biggest bucktails on the market. I know it's new this year and I haven't seen them in the stores but you can call them and order direct, that's how I got mine. It is actually the biggest bait I own...it has to be 12-14" long. The thing is huge and has a ton of hair....I got a black one with a glow blade for night fishing and for fall.
Shadytails are also great baits.....built like a tank. The big ones will rattle your bones reeling them in. Tons of thump.......I troll them. |

Location: Kalamazoo, MI | I ordered up some blades and had no idea how big they would be. Because I had them sitting around, I decided to make a bucktail out of hackle and rig one up. Ive had it in the water a couple times, and it had a surprisingly good action, so I may give it a shot. I havent seen many bigger than this one!

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I use a big Musky Buster, and modified a bunch of other brands by cutting the wire and adding an additional tail to the original. Makes the bait about 3" longer, and gives it more mass. |
