I was looking through some pictures and found a bait pic I took soon after it was built and one of how it looks today after fishing it frequently last season. I estimate 15-20 fish on it. a before and after. I personally like the after better. pretty beat but should still be good for a blow up or two.

You've sold these at swaps before, yes?
I have seen a couple go very quick sale on the trader board to my memory, but I have not seen any at the MN swap the last two years, or I would be hard pressed not to snatch it .....

I believe that batch was west system epoxy. Its a very hard epoxy and can chip. It started coming off at the 4th or 5th fish. Once water gets in, its a snowball effect. I also would cast often to the shore line actually landing the bait on shore which would not help the finish.
not to mention 4 of the fish were 50" + fish that put a hard bite on it. I'm making a few now with etex. Will need to compare the longevity between the two epoxies. Swaps probably are not the best place to sell new baits as people are looking for baits on the cheap. Thanks all.

I use Etexlite which holds up very well and has a little flex to the coat generally two coats which I bush on and let drip. But I will be changing to resin lures and will be trying out a new coat maybe that KBS Diamond MCU clear gloss. If anybody has used this stuff let me know how it worked for you. Its like 20.00 for one to buy a small amount to try. just buy a quart and get it over with. It was a nice lure but after what it went through it looks great.
