| Is there a Braided Line that you think works better than others on a tranx reel that is used strickly for Double 10's? Some seem to be noisey and seem to have a little more friction than others, and then theres the matter of water retention...Whats your Opinion. |

Location: Aurora | I used some of Daiwa's J-Braid this summer/fall and liked it all right.
It's an 8 weave so not nearly as ropey-feeling as PP, doesn't sing thru the guides, and it doesn't lay as flat on the spool as MM thus, casts a little better coming off a non-levelwind reel. Color bleed & fray were typical.
Try putting new line on in the fall. Sheds water much better when it's new and it's broke in fer spring. |

Location: St. Lawrence River | I switched from PP to sufix 832 and I like it better. Castability seems about the same but the 832 is quieter and retains less water. |

| I use TUF XP on mine, also like the 832, but haven't used the 832 that long, but seems great as well. |

| I've used power Pro for years but just recently noticed how abrassive it feels, and how loud it is while reeling in. I purchased a used reel with what appeared to be 80lb. braid and had no idea what brand it was but it was so smooth and Quite ..So now I have to go out and try and find which brand it was.....I realize being used braid, it will be a lighter in color and smoother as well...
Thanks Everyone and Have a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season to you and your Family......Mike |

one thing to watch w the tranx.. I actually wore a groove into my rod tip which was that alloy metal from the line on my tranx hg... now that is burning! watch your tip for a groove with that reel... |

| I use Hi-Seas Grandslam Braid 80# on mine. Very happy with it. Its soft, very quiet, does not bleed, very easy to dig out backlashes and is strong as hell.
Have it on every reel.

Location: MN | Not a fan of power pro I tried spiderwire this year but felt suffix 832 was a better line. That's all I use. I use the smaller stuff for walleye and it's great |

Location: mercer wi | I'm a big fan of suffix performance braid. Have used them all n think it's by far the best. Round, doesn't bleed bad, quiet, easy casting n is the dryest line I've used. Awesome knot strength too. Use it for everything. |

| I also switched to the Hi-seas braid from power pro 3 years ago. I have the 80 pound on both my tranx reels HG and PG, been very happy with it. |
