Location: MPLS, MN | Are there fishable numbers of muskie in the twin cities area of the mississippi? I've heard you either have to go far up north or further south to have realistic chances at getting one. I love fishing the river for other speicies and wonder if bringing the musky gear is even worth it. |

| I have boated 5 muskies at Prescott fishing for walleyes the past two seasons. All on #7 shap raps and 8# line, they've been low 30" fish. Not my ideal place to target muskies but nice to know they are there. MN Dnr stocked pool 2 heavy in 2000, they probably won't be fun til 2010. I've heard on muskies north of St. Anthony Falls and south of Monticello but I haven't caught one personally. Be patient. |

| Yes there are but its in concentrated spots,,Id get killed if I told you where but seek out some bait shops that have alot of cat fisherman and they can give you alot of help |
