| As the water heads toward freeze up---43 on down---we slow down to around 2.6--2.8 mph. Have caught many at this speed range in late

| I row troll alot and like to keep the speed super slow. 1.5-2.1mph with lots of turns puts fish in the boat for me. More imporant for me in the fall is having my lures running at the correct depth relative to baitfish, structure and where i'm marking fish. |

| watch your rod tips when trolling crankbaits ,,, a decent rod tip vibration will tell what speed is correct ,,, just stay on the slow side with falling water temps ,,, choose a lure that runs near but above the baitfish ,,, the fish are looking up --- wear a life jacket ---- jim |
