I have never fished it. It's been on my list of places to try. Hopefully someone will chime in.

I've fished it, twice, I believe, but not this year.

Probably not gonna be much help, b/c I don't remember the lake that well, but I remember there being a lot of rip-rap along the shorelines. Got an upper 30 inch musky in a shallow bay w/ timber. I remember fishing a spot pretty hard that had a lot of stumps. Don't recall the exact acreage off the top of my head, but I believe it was around 800 and was deep. Fished the lake twice and saw very few other anglers, however I did see 1 other musky fisherman.

don't forget the hp restrictions, and if you have a motor over 115 or 120 they won't even let you trim it up and fish with the kicker.

Fished it Friday from 10:30 till dark. Saw nothing but caught a healthy 5lb largemouth. Water temp hovering around 55 and was dirty so probably turning. Ended up spending rest of wknd on another lake north of there with some success.

The lake is also stocked with Stripers from what I have read about it. Since Stripers occasionally eat musky tackie I have always thought of this lake as a prime destination.

The state does not stock natural stripers anymore just hybrids. Don't expect to catch the ones you see down in Tennessee. Average will be under 5lbs.

It's a great little lake. Used to fish it quite a bit. They don't allow jet skis and that is a big plus for me. Best day there was 3 fish in late spring. Mostly 1-2 fish a day. I don't think that I have ever had a follow on the lake that I can remember. Most were in the 38-42 inch range. Always had better luck on the south end. Break on the big flat by the dam and the steep woody shore on the SE side were always good to me. Haven't had much time up there in a couple years though.
