Has any taken a Muskie fishing trip to the Thousand Island area of the St. Lawrence? I would be interested hearing about where you stayed and how the fishing was.

We refer to the Larry as the big empty it is definitely not a numbers fishery but you will have the possibility of catching a monster. We have had 4 fish days with 3 over 50 but that is not the norm. Some good fishermen will fish all week for one good fish. With the winds this fall you want to have enough boat under you, you can't fish when your on your hands and knees praying. You may be better advised to hire a guide for a couple of days. Bill Barber, Dave Curtis or Roy Bruner on the Canadian side with the Gananoque Inn or one of many motels in Gan for your stay.If it's too windy to get out you can loose all the money you want at the Casino. On the American side there is Paul Corbett of Irish Hammer Charters, Rich Clark Sign Man Charters or Bob Walters of Water Wolf Charters I'm sure they can direct you to a place to stay.

Most of the fishing is in Canadian water and again I caution be prepared for a possible skunk or maybe a new world record.

Yes....I go up and fish with a guide named Paul Corbett. He is a very good guide as well as personable person with a Hell of a rig to fish out of. You will NOT be disappointed with Paul from Irish Hammer Charters! He is out of Clayton, NY.....He fishes at night too which I love.

Good Luck!
