It's a bucktail that has a clicking sound due to the mismatched blades? |

Copy of Uncle Josh's "Sound Science" bucktail at twice the cost
Uncle Josh does not have a #9 and #10 combo. Tough to be a copy when there isn't another one on the market. Keep trying though.
They (Johnny and his staff) have been working on this bait for years. I have fished it. It starts every single time and fishes perfectly. I wouldn't call it a tick noise though. The bait almost has a wiggle to it, but the blades aren't skipping. Going to be very interesting to see what this bait does in the hands of the masses |

Location: Aurora | Did this plus other configs back in the 80's along with other guys who tinkered with baits.
Thick small with thin large/different sized ho-made clevises/we even added solder to blades to throw the thump off a little until the stick-on suspend-o-dots came out, then it was easy.
As always, when they were hungry, they ate and it didn't really matter what you were throwin. |

This thread is about the new dadson model not the esox assault model. |

Location: varies | the thing I dont get is why people make a big stink about the blades not turning right away every cast?????
Ive caught fish on more than one occasion where they hit it the second it hits the water with no time for blades to start.
God forbid one would have to twitch the rod to get the blades rollin.
Im sure Dadsons are fine baits. Must be as people spend crazy money on them. But they are made from the same exact clevises, beads, wire, blades as many others out there as there are only a few manufacturers making the components to make these type baits. |

Location: SE, WI. | Been building Bucktails with different blade sizes for years. My favs are a #6 and #7, or a #7 with an 8....or one cupped, one NOT. Plain and simple, different blade sizes don't piggy-back, or stick, which means instant startup. No different with a 9 and 10. Build your own, YOU CAN DO IT!!! JD |

There is a mural on the propane tank in Boulder Junction of a double bladed bucktail that was painted in the early 80's. I think it was called a BL Whoppertail or something. |

Talking about double bladed bucktails.
As stated, the cowgirl is far from the originator of "double bladed bucktails" |

| Save your cash and move to a slower reel. You'll start seeing fish again. I guarantee it. Did some real damage this year on a 3/4 filled tranx PG and a spanky 10 (too lazy to add line). |

I didn't go to musky lure college either. The tuition is way too expensive. |

| Tadpoles in eagle river is a great place to stop and throw baits in the pound outside. I stop there when in the area because I like to shoot the #*#* with Todd the owner. Todd has a case built into the wall inside with a bunch of vintage muskie lures it's the best collection I have ever seen and there is a #10 or bigger muskie buck tail in the case from the 40's if my memory serves me correct |
