Any comments on the 7' med. heavy South Bend Tony Rizzo rods? I'm thinking about getting one.

Me and my brothers have several Rizzo rods. They work great, and are cheap enough to buy a few for the price of other rods.

Their customer service is also great. If something breaks, just sent it back and they will get you a new one.

Don't get me wrong, I love my St. Croix and Lamiglass rods, and would never pick a Rizzo over one of them, but if you are just starting out get a Rizzo Rod and save a $100 bucks.

I just picked up that rod. I really like it. I have not had a chance to use it yet, but it feels really nice. Cant beat it for the price.

Tony no longer has his name on those rods.  I think they are called Trophy Chasers now.  It's still the same rod...but it's black with grey trim instead of charcoal with maroon trim.

Great beginner rod.  Great customer service.

I was a beginner about 30 years ago. I'm just "tight" now! Thanks for the info guys.
