| I am also intereste in learning what some of the rest of you are using.
At one point I created a log using MS Access. it allowed for very easy entering of the data. One thing I was not so pleased with was the analysis of the data.
Right now I am using MS Excel. Entering the data is a little harder, but it is very easy to sort by categories so you can attempt to find a pattern. I have been pleased with the simple Excel method thus far. The best thing for me is that you can specify whatever fields that you would like to record. simply create a spreadsheet with your fields and populate it. |

| I like the ones that extend for quite a ways out into the water. I use to sit right on top the ones what still had lots of branches and pull in perch after perch...but now i like to cast my lure parrellel and perpendicular to the downed trees... |

Location: Kalamazoo, MI | I do everything via a php script that interacts with an sql database. It works out excellent. It also will run averages, keep track of smallest/biggest/etc, tally points, and do pretty much anything you can think up. The only hard part, is finding someone to write and tweak a php script for you.

Location: Bemidji, MN- | Would it be technologically possible for any of you Excel users to email me the template you are using? I used Excel once (to analyze MN DNR statistics) and it almost caused a divorce!

Thanks for the help. I started dinging around with Excel again and have a general idea of what I want. I'll wait until I have a large block of time available and fight the battle once again.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I have some software called "the Angler's Log" that is really well designed. It covers all aspects of logging a fish, trip, pictures, and more. I will dig it out tomorrow and see if it is still available. |
