Not much time to fish the last week as works been tough, so this report is just for one day. Had to give up the usual 5+ days a week I'm fortunate to have.
We were focusing on wind blown banks adjacent to prime spawning coves and flats on the north side of the lake. I was looking for heavier post-spawn females, so we worked deeper out to the primary points and drops adjacent to the flats and then move on to the next spot. Some of the fish were suspended over channels and drops, so I was often throwing into open water, which is where this fish was holding. The wind was blowing out of the E-SE, heavy traffic as well.
Struggled with this one for pics so I only measured her briefly at 43"-44". Didn't want to lay her down and keep her out of the water, she was ready to go.
Taken on a 9" Grandma on the figure 8.
Good fishin,
