I got one. Its ok. The speakers are decent. The thing I don't like is that my HDS sits there and is "searching" waaaaay to long a lot of the time when picking music. You have to constantly back up or hit "root" to move forward. Its kind of annoying at times but then there are times it works great. Not sure if its more the fault of the HDS or the sonic hub. Considering the price and the quality of the speakers, if I bought a new boat today I'd install another one.

Does the satellite radio work well? And do you need the docking station or could you just run a cord straight to your device?

I don't subscribe to XM radio, just use it for tunes on my ipod, so can't answer that question. Most of the newer units have a usb port directly to them which in my opinion kind of defeats the purpose of the sonic hub. I use the docking station because its watertight and will hold the device safely.

I agree with BS, great for I-pod cause it's H20 proof and I-pod always has a charge on it. Toggling between screens can be a pain to change volume or station. Good point is your fishing partner can't change the station cause it's too difficult to figure out. you can also operate from other HDS units in boat.
