Night trolling i fish the same water as day but slow down. 2.5 to 3.0mph is what i do when i night troll and do it quite a bit. You will have to figure out your lure depth at those speeds cause it will be different then going faster. Lures will depend on the water you are fishing. For me and my water around home. Jointed depthraiders, lil ernies, boss shads, perchbaits, tuff shads, and a believer sometimes. Since you will be going slower i usually concentrate on a smaller area where you caught fish in the day. If you try to troll spot to spot it takes so long when ur going that slow. Just pound 1 area hard. Nothing like a reel screaming in the middle of the night. Have some good lights to lightthings up when the rod goes. Makes things alot easier.

Would you say the same applies to early morning trolling? I'm heading out tomorrow AM around 4-5 to troll for a few hours.
