Anyone else throw the Okuma 8'6 XXH for double tens? Is it just me, or is the tip too soft for these large bucktails? Figure 8's are a real chore, and I just don't really like the feel. I'll likely get the "Why don't you do some searching?", but I have. I didn't really find what I was looking for.

I am wondering if anyone else specifically felt this way about the Okuma and what they went to instead. I'm currently looking at TI 9', 9' Big Nasty, or maybe the 8'6" Sling Blade.

Thanks!

Big nasty is your rod. The TI XXH is better for tens than the XH but the nasty is way better in the "8".

If you think the okuma xxh is too soft in the tip for 10's in the eight don't get a sling blade.I have both I use the okuma for 10's and slingblade for 8's. I'm sure there's better for tens but that's my preference for these two rods.
