| -Heading up to Morson area next Saturday and reports out there on how the fishing has been.
-Heading out towards Falcon Island and up in to the French Portage Area
-Whats the water temp and hows the algae bloom?

| Fished a half day on the 2nd and full days on the 3rd and 4th (2.5 days of fishing), and had 8 fish in the boat from 50.5"-39.5". All fish came off rock piles with a huge variety of baits. The 50.5" bit on a lil ernie but also had a 40" go on a husky medussa...concentrate on the wind blown rocks if possible. Smaller baits seemed to work best for whatever reason. Good luck out there!
Edit: forgot to mention the wind calmed down at the end of our night on the 4th, and the algae bloom really showed up. Don't be afraid to fish the bloom b/c theyre definitely in it.

Location: MN | Were here now, coming back tomorrow. The bloom is significant, worst I've seen. Definite windows, hour or so at dawn, 6 pm till dark. Middle of the day has been pathetic. |

| Been up at Nestor Falls since Sat pm. Two in the boat, 37 and a dink. Had three different fish miss my top water a few times Sat night. Caught some decent northern yesterday. Two lazy follows and one lost fish this am. Wind has just picked up, so maybe that will get them going. Water temps high, 71 to 75. I think u will hit it good, make sure to clean my boat good when you r done....... |
