The original 9.5" or the mag or the newer X? What's your preference or experience with these?

I'd go with original, original heavy and the mag... I have caught fish on the mag and haven't thrown it much but will more this fall... just got a few of the 9.5" heavies and can't wait to test em out..

I've got a couple originals, a mag and a pair of the 7.5". So far only caught a fish on the original, but haven't thrown them all that much. I like how they all run, if I had to pick one it would be the original size.

Aye Fatturtle  the Shad is one of our favorites by far! Each size(JR, 9.5 or Mags) have a time and place to be used, it definitely is one of our go to baits, colors like any others are your decision, we like all natural, and rutgen, and tenn shad colors, all we have have caught numerous fish on, Id experiment with them, jrs in spring, 9.5s on big water and later fall, Mags definitely fall big water. Was our only bait we thru when we won the PMTT World championship on St clair 2 years ago. Owner of the baits, and his wife are very top notched, some of the nicest people on earth no doubt.. Good Luck!!

I've gotten several on the 9.5" this year. Be sure to have glue or a a mini torch with you because the plastic is soft & gets tore up good.
