When I plug my trolling motor in, it trips the fuse on the batteries. PROBABLY not a trolling motor issue as it does the same with another trolling motor (which may not actually work). PROBABLY not the fuse, since I replaced it.

Guesses, ideas? Help?

The trolling motor harness wires are not correct to the batteries, my guess. Make sure the red striped wires are wired to one battery, and other (probably blue) to the other. Make sure of + and -.

Make sure the plug has positive to 24 volt positive, and negative to negative.

Or, the fishing gods are out to get you.

actually nothing. got some good info that a new female panel insert deal was key. swapped them out (there was an extra on the stern) and that seems to have made it work...but now need to get it wired in series.
