I keep seeing posts about this on various forums/FB pages, Im sure this is a part of peoples local chapter, but how does this work? Not looking to join anything, just curious.

I don't do it but... Each week. the chapter organizer picks one or two lakes that folks can choose to fish during a set time like say 6pm to 9pm. You can gain points the following ways:

Catching a fish so many points based on length
fishing the League night
Fishing with a partner is extra points with a multiplier if its a new member or a Jr. member.

At the end of all the nights they total the points an winners get a trophy, and prizes.

Hope that helps out.

the North Metro Chatper of Muskies Inc just wrapped up our league.
We give points for
fishing each night 3 pts
Partner points 2pts can only count a partner 1 durring our league schedule
Bonus pts- jr or new member 5 pts
30 muskie = 10 pts each inch over = 1 pt 40 inch muskie = 20 pts

We had 10 events 9 evenings and 1 Saturday

we had over 50 differnent people out in boats for all the events. It is a great way to get to learn new water, make new friends, build a strong chapter ect.

It looks like the winner had 3 fish 44, 46 and 41.5 inches durring the events he fished + the participation, partner and bonus points... Still waiting for all reports before putting out anything official at this time.
