Heading up to Lake St Clair for the first time this upcoming weekend. We will be casting 100 percent of the time. Can anyone give me some advice you don't have to be super specific or anything just interested in what the typical techniques usually are around this time of year. You can Pm if you don't feel like posting
Thanks

South shore in 14-16 ft is where we have been. Casting 100%. It's a tremendous fishery and this year has been a good one.

Bucktails; 8s, 9s and 10s.

I prefer lighter colors like gold, silver and while.

Thanks for the good info! Casting 100 percent is tough but rewarding in the 8!

For sure, beats me up every time especially in the fall but watching that fish come out of nowhere and eat your bait is priceless to me.

All good info but if you like lsc and are looking for a pure northwoods experience try trolling.

Sorry Todd as long as my shoulder and elbow hold up I will leave my 2 gallon coffee thermos under the kitchen sink. I caught my 3 biggest fish with 2 foot of line out. My heart just about jumped out of my chest I don't think I would get the same adrenaline rush like that trolling. I am sure you catch 4 times the fish to my 1 though it's simple math you spend all of your time in the strike zone while I only have short windows during my lure retrieve.
