Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Ok all you that haven't had there opener yet. The northern Wisconsin cheater opener is Thursday (WI/MI boundary waters) followed by the official opener next Saturday. You've had a whole off season to mull it over. What type of structure are you going to hit first and what is your bait of choice going to be. My first spot is going to be shallow weeds by an inlet creek with a six inch Grannie. Does anyone else already know where they will be on the opener?

| Hi Norm,
When the season officially opens on the 24th I will be on Big Arb. I too will be looking for the early green weed growth areas of the lake. Good luck to you! |

Location: Woodstock, IL | I'll be on the Manitowish Chain. You'll find me around the shallow bays and inlets tossing a 6" Jake, smaller bucktails and anything else that will get them moving. |

Location: Woodstock, IL | Oh yea, I'll spend some quality time in the channels as well. The water warms quickly and hopefully they'll be ready an willing to accept my offering.
Good luck to everyone! |

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | I'll be out for the cheater opener this weekend, so this is what I plan to hit then. If the weather holds true to what is being forcasted I'll be concentrating most of my efforts on sand flats and the north end of the lake. When its sunny and little wind, those big mamas sure do like to sun bath in the sand!
The regular opener I plan to hit reed beds where crappies an bluegills will be staging to spawn, and shorelines wheresmallies will be. Oh yeh better throw in the suspended thing also. There are also a few weeds area I plan to try. Well, you might as well say I'll be fishing everywhere on the opener. |
