| Anyone been up on the big pond lately? Heading up this Friday through Monday to chase the big stubborn girls. I know the bite there can be tough but theirs something about the lake that i love.

Location: Northwest Wi. | If you see a pontoon that resembles a Japanese Factory Trawler on the north end go by- the crew will yell out the fishing report as they cut you off.....Keep fishing, it means the north end has turned on.. |

Location: Maple Grove, MN | I have mostly fished for big Pike on Mille Lacs the past few years. We have had some good luck with Muskies, but they are hit and miss and the big Pike are much more consistent. It is a rare day when we don't catch at least a couple of 15-20 lb Pike. The Muskies do hang out in the weeds with the big Pike and we do use Muskie sized baits. The main thing is if we go after big Pike and catch only big Pike, it was a successful day. If we go after Muskies and only catch big Pike, then not so much. And any day one catches a nice Muskie is a good day no matter what one is fishing for.
I guess its not so much how we fish, but how we look at it.
