| All I ever throw is a double bladed willow leaf spinnerbait,,in chartreuse and black,,,if you can find a CJ"s double willow in the small version that's one of the best metro tiger lures made, haven't tried them yet but a grim reaper double willow looks close,,,,,know of guys who swear by a doctor spoon and also a high vibration ss shad or six inch drifter stalker.
What used to.be a great tiger lure was a local tiger recipie,, take a spinnerbait and take off the trailer hook and instead put on a doctor spoon so it hangs off the back, lots of flash and vibration.

| I agree with hooker on the small willow leaf spinners. I've been repairing and nursing a handful of them made by JAW baits. Don't think they are made anymore. Also catch many on walk the dog lures. I mostly use jackpots, but I would imagine anything similar would work. Doesn't have to be calm, either, sometimes a little chop helps. For the high vibration crank, I like the Krave Jr. and Krusher Jr. Those three things produce about 75 percent of my tigers. | |

Location: Twin Cities, MN | CJ's and Jawbaits did make nice spinnerbaits but neither are available any longer.
I would take a look at Slither tackle's Mamba, which I am sure they could put 2 willows on for you, as they are doing a couple customs for me right now.

Location: Minneapolis, MN | The lake I fish I tend to see most of my action on 6" soft tail phantoms, spinner baits, and WTD topwaters; but a lot of bass and walleye guys catch them as well since they tend to key in on smaller baits. The guy who won largest Tiger, a 43”, at this year’s metro musky tournament caught it on a Rapala DT10. But though they tend to key in on smaller baits, sometimes they will surprise you, I’ve had 2 28” fish hit a squirko xl. I've never caught or moved a tiger on a buck tail, but the guy who one last years biggest tiger, a 45", caught it on a double 10, so who knows... | |

Location: Minneapolis, MN | As further proof that Tigers like em small, I was jigging for walleye last night and I had a 35” Tiger hit my 1/8th ounce jig with a fathead on it. That’s always fun, watching the rod bend in half and hoping they don’t break that 4lb test. | |
