| Need some help please, Looking for a reel that I will be using for burning 8's,9's and 10's, I do have an older discontinued Toro in a 5.4 and last yr.bought a NACL 5.4 and just seems I have to crank like a mother! Power handle is not on the NACL but don't know if that would help? I was thinking a Lexa 400 hs-p 7.1 |

| Really don't care about price but that Tranx is WAY to big!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
muskietamer have you had any problems with the reel engaging when casting at all ? Some guys have said that, that why I have not switched yet. |

| Press the thumb bar during cast, works on all reels and become a habit after a bit, do it with all my reels, |

Do you mean you have to reel so fast to move baits at the speed you want? If that's the case just get a quality reel with a higher Inches Per Turn (IPT). If you like those NaCl's, then obviously that 6.4:1 would speed things up for you.
If you feel like you're pushing harder than you'd want on the handle, but speed isn't an issue, then get a longer handle. |

Location: Hayward, WI | If it feels too hard to crank and you aren't using the power handle you could put that on. I have a Revo Toro NaCL in the 5.4 ratio, and like it for moderate to relatively fast double 10 use. The double paddle handle is a little hard for me to turn fast all day. The power handle on the longest setting was very easy but also felt a little slow, but the shorter power handle setting is a great balance for me. Makes moderate speed easy, and still gives me the power I need to speed up quite a bit if I want.
If I'm trying to really crank them in I use a Saltist 20. I think the NaCL in 6.4 ratio on the long power handle setting would be a slick double 10 reel also, but I've heard conflicting reports on how well the gears hold up to that abuse. |

Location: minocqua, wi. | x2 on the Daiwa Saltist ... poor man's Tranx HG ... good reel and will out-perform anything being listed if you truly want to move them through the water fast. |
