Mr. Worrall,

Any chance you can get the skinny on the length and weight?

Probably, when I see him at the NWT tomorrow evening. I bet he didn't measure or weigh it.

Thanks Mr. Worrall.

I agree, Mike probably did not tape or weigh, but if he had an opinion he was willing to share I'd be curious.

One of my neighbors is a walleye guy (and also knows Mike G) who landed (and released) a 49" while trolling the bay for 'eyes with little cranks on 8# test and he asked me about Mr. Gofron's catch.

Not trying to start any sort of "Doesn't look like 49" to me, 48.5" at most" thing.

This is why I wanted to fish GB. Back in 2000-2001, I had follows from several big muskies bringing in crawler harnesses. And a bunch of bite offs. Very few fished for them back then. Carl Grunwald was the only one I knew that did. I picked his brain over the next year when I saw him at walleye tournies.

The next fall, we went up, and fished the river. Jason Smith, Shawn Kopke and I had an 11 fish day our first day! Extreme and his brother were there that day too, and they put several fish in the net, including a fat 48".

Mike said this afternoon at the weigh in that he thinks it was very close to 50".
