| I searched before I posted this but I couldn't find a thread where someone actually admitted to using this reel. Most people claim its a bass reel but as specs go it's the same as the Komodo besides besring count and internals. Same line size/capacity and drag. Would this reel not be ok for spinnerbaits, double 8s, mini medusas and regular dawgs and some crankbaits? |

Location: mercer wi | Bought one for wife. She really likes it. Ive used just to check it out. I thought was very smooth. Found it in a 5.4-1 gear. Pulles 8's great n and all reg size baits. She also throws mid size medussas. Hope that help alittle. No sure bout durability just bought this spring.

Location: MN | I don't use one, but looking at it I agree it looks to have the same numbers. I have A Komodo, but I only use it for jerks or gliders. No I'm not a great reel mind but the Drive shaft and the pinion gears are Brass on the Citrix vs Stainless steel on the Komodo, I don't know how that impacts performance or durability down the road. |

| I have a Citrix and I'm not a big fan. No matter what I did, the reel would backlash and birds net unlike any reel I've ever used. I tried going to lighter line and smaller lures like spoons and small bucktails, but nothing helped. I took it apart and found the shaft was bent ever so slightly. I couldn't feel or hear it when just retrieving line, but I'm sure it had everything to do with the reels inability to cast. I'm not entirely sure how it got bent, but it worked and casted fine for a few weeks last fall until I hooked on to a large pike. I would have to agree that this reel is probably underweight for larger predators as opposed to its Komodo 350 counterpart. |

Location: Lake County Illinois | I have the Citrix 350 size in the 5.4:1 gear ratio which is the same size as the Komodo 350.They also make the citrix in a bass sized model. My Komodos have been solid but just started using the citrix 350 which seems nice with the power handle on it but haven't used it enough to give reviews yet. I was getting a lot of backlashes at first on the citrix 350, but then when I opened the side cover it came set from the factory with the spool brakes set on 0 . once I turned it to a higher number mine cast really nice. |
