| Hi,
I know this has been asked but was hoping some of you could list your experiences with the following flouro coated or complete lines?
Berkly vanish, P-Line, Yo-Zuri, and Seaguar
I am interested in starting to use Flouro as a main line but not sure which brand to choose? Hoping to get some help with characteristics in comparison to one another. Is coating going to make a difference or is a full flouro needed? It seems Seaguar is the only maker of a full flouro line suitable for a main line. Any advice would be appreciated.

I've been using 40#fluorocarbon leader material on my heavy jerkbait rod for 4 years now and have tried many brands. I now use the Fish-On brand, as it is the best/cheapest I have found so far. It does take a while to learn to use, but in my experience there isn't a tougher line on the market. I tie right to a 100# fluoro leader using an Albright Knot,no swivel. It has less stretch than mono and I do a lot of slack line jerking which tends to take the anti reverse out of a reel with no stretch braids.I threw a Mag Dawg for 8 hrs straight one day and 3 fish later the 1st 3 feet had a bunch of tiny nicks in it that could be felt as I reeled it in. I hooked my Dawg on a cleat and tried to break it but it would not fail. I retied and got ready for another day.
The downside is fluoro has a good bit of memory and an occasional over-run will happen. I will spray it with Reel Magic every now and then,it seems to relax it a bit.
I can't remember where I got these Fish-On spools but they were only $ 12.00 for a 100yd+ spool and have had it on since March without having to spray it. Give it a try, the worst that could happen is that you will hate it.

Location: oswego, il | Kly, my trolling reels have flourocarbon on them. I really like the abrasion resistance of flourocarbon. Right now, I have stren flourocarbon(100% flouro) on them. One reel I do have p-line flouro because I could not get stren and a person practically guarenteed the line. I had two seasons on my bass pro flouro before it started to separate and that's how I found out it was not 100%. Travis Richardson swears by the yo-zuri which looks good but not 100%. | |

| Thanks for the responses,
So far I have heard that the yo-zuri has been an excellent product. I just wondered if the pure flourocarbon is better than the coated? Due to durability, performance, and actual visibility to a fish? I was hoping to try and fill my clear water reels with a good jerkbait flouro and a good crank/spinner flouro. If anyone else has any recommendations I would appreciate them,
