| CAST! CAST! CAST!!!!!------- the muskies don't care that the motor's broken. I fished out of a 14' starcraft rowboat with NO trolling motor and NO depthfinder for two years----- year one caught 15 muskies-------year two --caught 76 muskies! Electronics can be your BEST FRIEND----- or your WORST ENEMY , depending on WHEN they decide to stop working. That's no reason not to cast-----go get 'em----Pat Elza |

I'd be the first one to feel handicapped without my TM, but you can't let a little thing like that stop ya. If you can fix it, do it, if not stow it and fish on brother, fish on!! |

Location: Metro | lol sorry guys I didn't really explain what I wanted with this post. I wanted you to finish the sentence after "when you go fishing and..." I did a poor job of saying this.
Sorry! |

| My TM started smoking at the start of day 3 of a 7 day trip. Located that there was an exposed wire where the wires go into the head of the TM. Boat was lined up to drift right along a long weed edge, so I just started cutting/stripping wires to do a quick on the water reconnect. My partner raised 3 fish on the drift, and all 3 came from up on the weed flat, which we wouldn't have been on if the TM was working. By the time we reached the other shoreline, I was just finishing up the fix. Never even had to fire up the big motor, and partner lost no fishing time. We ended up putting a nice tiger in the net later that afternoon from up on the weed flat, and doubt we would've been up there if the TM never failed, as we were targeting edges previously. |
