Anyone else get hit last night?
I looked out the window and my boat was floating away,
I think we got enough rain to last us a while.
The wind is still blowing hard this morning, there are trees down all over town.

Hope everyone is safe, there were a lot of tornadoes in the area last night.

Yeah, we got hit Friday and yesterday. Hail storm Friday evening on top of it all. We drove to Cincy yesterday in a driving rain, and when we returned we couldn't get down our road for the high water, had to take refuge in a bar uptown until the water went down. m

We had tornado warnings last night and I don't think the wind has dropped below 25mph since.

We took my mom out last night for dinner here in central IL and driving back home around 10:30 we were pounded. Rain so bad I couldn't see the road. Kids screaming...... Just missed a torando by ten minutes.....insulation all over the roads.......ESDA, police, firetrucks, storm watchers all over the place. Got home and the Weather Channel was describing the area we were in as very, very bad.....nasty tornadoes and one death reported....pretty scary........glad to get home safe.....don't want to go throught that for a while.......Hope everyone is OK.......

Todd C...where are you located? I was watching all the coverage last night trying to head a tornado off to get some video.....Morris apparently had a death and many injuries. Are you near there?......here in Lemont, not much........but a funnel cloud was spotted in Lisle, about 15 minutes from here. I hopped in the truck, but the storms were moving too quick, so I gave up that chase. Then they seemed to fizzle.
Lungin told me he was following one on the north side and just missed it. Those sirens were so loud where he was I couldn't even hear him talk on his cell phone.

Pretty nasty weather last night. The wind blew so hard it ripped the screen off my window and flew at me and knocked the lamp over. That was pretty scary. The window was right over my head. Its still at 36 mph with gusts of 50 mph. Don't know how windy it was last night, but we had a tree break.

High winds, lightning, and power surges were all we had, we are lucky to be North of the worst. Hope everyone made it through OK.

We had a funnel cloud in Mt Prsopect Illinois. My sister in laws house got sideswiped by a tornado in Morton Il just outside of Peoria (it hit the houses next door and behind her). No injuries fortunately.

Jim,

I live in Washington, just east of Peoria. I was up in the LaSalle area for dinner. My mom lives 30 miles south of LaSalle. Mom called me on the cell after we left and said we were headed right towards a tornado. We slowed down, turned on the local radio and tried to drive around the storm. Thank God we were successful at getting around it. The death was in the Pekin area about 30 minutes south of my home. It's still really howling out there now but I still managed to take the family to Gander Moutain this afternoon so the wife could get some clothes while the kids and I checked out the muskie lures and camping stuff.......Take care

Most of the real bad storms were north and south me (Woodstock, IL). However, we're still getting our butt kicked by wind as I type this. A couple of trees fell in the small woods in my backyard. They just missed a picnic table and metal fire ring I have back there. The wind is still really blowing, so I hope I don't lose any others before it is through.

This would NOT be a good day to be on the water - regardless of how good they could be biting!
