Hey guys! I have not fished Lake Namakagon in 20+ years... It wasn't even a well known Muskie lake many years ago. I am heading up there the 25th - 31st of July. I will be fishing for Muskie and Walleye. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

My family and I camped there for a few long weekends for the past 7 years. I am no means an expert musky angler, but we've always done fair. The last 2 years however, it seemed to be getting a lot of musky fishing pressure. Spots where we used to move fish, we would no longer see any. Seems the northern population dropped in these past 2 years also. Definitely some big muskies in there though. the biggest we ever caught was 46", but saw some good ones over 50" for sure. We always had the best action on deep weed edges, with natural colored lures since the water is fairly clear.

Hey Big time, thanks for the info.. We will try the deep weed edges and natural colors first. Kind of odd about the Northern population... they were always more plentiful than some may have liked.. Hopefully the lake has changed for the better.. we'll let you how it turns out. Thanks again! ktr
