Getting ready to head out for a week long trip north. Seems to be a shallow rock bite going with super dark water. To pair with a bucktail, I'm thinking a loud shallow running jointed crankbait. Any suggestions? Thanks

Pick up a Believer/ Krisco for this year.

Get in line for a Hose bait Fatty for next year:)

1. Possibly the loudest jointed crankbait... Swim Whiz or Believer. Shallow or deep setting, and can take a beating.

2. Jointed Big Game - not loud but great action, and runs relatively shallow.

We had a Krisco in the casting rotation quite a bit last year on LOTW and it did a nice job of banging rock without getting hung up. My wife raised several fish on it. I think a little more speed would have triggered some of them that didn't bite.

Doesn't have to be jointed, a good straight crank with a nice durable lip banging off the rocks really peees them off for a good reaction strike.

I really like the storm giant jointed thundersticks. I prefer the 8-1/2" over the 10", I had a tough time gettin the 10" to stay under the surface, maybe it was just me though.
