Location: Minneconia | Guys,
What are the best boat ramps to launch a large glass boat safely on Mille Lacs? Particularly west side and south side. Thanks |

Location: Minnesota | What are you considering large 21 foot ranger or a 38 foot cigarette. There all good on the south and west side I have had problems on the north Shore shallow I had to back my truck in the water before my boat would float off the trailer. |

Location: Elk River Mn | Skip the casino landing unless you don't mind the locals shopping in your truck. We always pay the $10 and launch at Terrys. Good location with a short trip to many different types of structure. |

Location: Bloomington, MN | It has been at least 3 years, but I always paid and launched at Eddy's when fishing the SW side. They have re-opened, but I do not know what they have for public paying usage this year. Avoid the public ramp one bay/lake dent north of Vineland bay at all costs! Big Fish, Bad Neighborhood....sort of like Lake St. Clair! |

| Pay a resort it's safer,,,,,what they used to do at some landings is let air out of your trailer tires so when you came in you would have to.leave your boat at landing while you drove to gas station to air tires,,if it's a lone guy the boat would be left unattended and they scavenged it. |

Location: Northwest Wi. | I've heard some of the public landings referred to as "The Gas Station" it's were you get gas, tires, battery's etc...Can't beat Mac's Twin Bay,, no wind issues there...deep also. |

Location: minocqua, wi. | always stayed at or paid at the Red Door on the North side for the reasons stated. Minnesota has a problem with theft on boaters and it's not limited to Mille Lacs. Lock your stuff and err to the side of caution planning to get robbed and you will stand a better chance. |

| I must be lucky because i've fished Mille lacs for many years and never had an issue at the public landings. I've fished days and nights but i'm not saying it can't happen. The only time i had anything stolen was actually at a resort. We left our cooler of beer on the deck (dumb) and guess what was gone the next morning. For peace of mind $10 is a small fee to pay as mentioned. |

Location: Lake Elmo, MN | +1 for Mac's. Easy place as well if you are launching alone as there are plenty of docks and places to tie up while you park.
The restaurant is a great site too after a full day on the water. |
