I want to take off my kicker until fall. What sort of sealant would I put on the cap I will put in my T'd gas line

What do you have now? Does your kicker gas line have a primer ball in the gas line and a quick connect to the kicker?

If you are going to just take it off, just remove the quick connect from the kicker. If you are going to use it on another boat with say, a portable tank, then get a new line with primer bulb when you get the portable tank.

Doesn't the quick disconnect have a shut-off valve? If so, just disconnect it, and put some electrician's tape over the end to keep dirt from getting in there. I'm not sure I understand what the issue at hand really is...?
