I am going to be down in the Green Bay area around the third week of July. I was considering hiring a guide for a day and fishing in my boat a couple days. After doing a couple searches on here it sounds like the bay is pretty tough that time of year. I'd be dragging the boat a long ways so I'm trying to gauge if it's worth it or not. Any input is apprecaited.

Fish are still caught that time of year, but it is tougher. Definitely consider Bret Alexander or Brett jolly if you're going. One other thing is you may want to try fishing further north in the bay

Cross your fingers that the alewives have spawned and died/left by then. They are normally gone by then but its been a cold year. You can still catch fish when they move through but its a heck of a lot more difficult. Another good guide out there is Ryan Grant. Pm if you would like his info.

Eric Larsen is on the fish out there. I would give him a call. Rubberhairy tackle and guide service. I listened to a couple of his seminars on fishing Green Bay. Very knowledgeable.

Call captain Ryan Grant. Has been on big fish all year. July is a tough month on the bay. But if anyone can get you on them Ryan can.

What are good lodging options to stay on the bay?
