| I've heard a few people mention some things that can be done to your reels. So what are they? Where can you get 'em?

| Not long ago I posted a bunch of stuff about "reel candy" you can purchase from Hatterass Outfitters in VA. They specialize in surf fishing, and sell a ton of stuff to upgrade Garcia baitcasters and a couple other popular reels. Look them up on the internet to see the selection. Their Smooooothie drag washers are great, and I also replaced bearings, gears, etc, in a couple reels. The stuff isn't so expensive and tricking out the reels was a great late-winter project for me. Also, being a total newbie, I had to call them with some questions. It seemed I always talked to the same guy on the phone, he was funny, patient and very helpful. | |
