Had to resign myself to fishing 'bait', as season isn't open here yet.

We got a 39 incher on Friday & a 36 inch fish on Saturday.

Nothing big, but we still caught something.

I stuck a 44 1/2 on Sunday that was a prespawn female, heavy girl. See "weekend report" for pictures of the three I caught. I did catch a 40 1/4 last night that was a scrapper, nice fish, awsome fight. She hit, came up to the top of the water, shook her head all the way to the net, jaws wide open and head out of the water all the way. Was that cool !!! I live for times like that, I can't wait to get out tonight.

Thad,

Are the glides still moving fish? I may get over your way Friday or Saturday this weekend. Sunday may be pushing it with mothers day and all. What are the water temps over there??? I know your mentor is probably catching lots of big fish huh? Take care see you later........TC

Got lucky today with the lost bait.  I bought a Jake at the Winter gas station in Winter WI two years ago.  I just found it this morning under the seat of my pickup while looking for my digital scale that I still cannot find.  I tied it on and we jumped in the boat.  I had a 46"er eat it right at the boat in very shallow water.  I quick beached the boat and snapped a pic!!  here it is.  Heart still thumping.
