I have been looking at buying a couple headlocks. I don't do a lot of trolling. mainly just casting. So my question is Does anybody use this baits for casting or do they work a lot better when they are trolled instead.

Rumor has it Duff is developing an 8" version that will be cast friendly.
Your best current option is the 10" and Ive heard of some fellows casting them. Contact Duff directly at [email protected] and pose the question(s).

The 10" is awesome for casting. It doesn't twitch the best. But, using it on a straight retrieve it gives the action you want.

If you email or call Duff, he'll tell you all about the new 7.5" coming. It's not a big secret, but I don't feel comfortable posting what he told me as the bait is still in development and things could change. He did say they were shooting for a mid/late Summer intro though.
