Location: St Paul, Minnesota | Hey Guys,
I'm doing a bit of research on lure companies that used to produce good and well known lures that have since ceased to exist, sold out, or died off for whatever reason.
So think back, does anyone know of any and what the reason was for the lure/company's exit from the industry?
Thanks,
C7

| Interesting undertaking.....woulda thot Musky and intellectualism an oxymoron.
Is your focus on consumer change...technical advances or business management failure or neither? In contrast...what about the companies that have survived the times?

the SLEDGE, randy shutt version.
My understanding is that the guy doing them now molded Randy's as well as molded and painted for other well known makers |

thats what he told me also at the shows, but i'm telling you they don't run the same. i also have a lifetime supply of randy's models of the colors that have done great for me and glad i do. i've tried the new ones and they don't do what my shutt models will. one thing is that the new model has much heavier hooks on it, but i never had a problem with shutt's hooks. |

How did no one mention "Wishmaster" yet? |

Location: Central Wisconsin | Marathon Bait Company from Wausau Wi, they made the Musk-E-Munk topwater and the Big Slim bucktail. I used to catch a lot of musky on the Big Slim. You hardly ever see them around anymore, but then with the more recent popularity of musky fishing there was a pretty big revolution in the bucktail industry. A lot more choices I think now days. I know I have some of the Musk-E-Munks from my grandpa's old tackle box. |
