| Looking for wall mount ideas for my first replica. I am not sure if I should get the butternut plaque, etc. Would some of you guys mind sharing some photos of your wall mounts?
Thanks in advance! |

| Hello, I have a replica mount in a simple S curve that I think is great. I should have done the butternut board. You can get laser engraving that looks good too. To me it depends if this is your trophy; then get it all done. My big fish came at a time when money was tighter. A friend of mine did driftwood and had a sucker mounted in front, very nice as well. Can't really go wrong unless it breaks the bank or marriage. |

| I have mine done on some rocks since that is where I caught the fish. It is an "S" mount. I will try to get a pic tonight.

Location: Downers Grove, IL | I have a great mount from Lax of my PB from Eagle Lake done by Lax. I have it mounted on the butternut plaque (is that what the wood is?) but I wish I just had a mount without the plaque. It feels kind of silly displaying it in my own den saying "Caught by..." and all the other stuff. IF it's in my home, I think I can tell anyone who's interested who and where it was caught and how big it was. I ordered a replica of a 47" Tiger at the Milwaukee show that I caught last year. I ordered it without the plaque and Rick Lax said he'd send me a bracket to use after I remove the plaque on my Eagle fish.
It truly is personal preference, but since you asked, that's my $.02. |

Best mount I've ever seen. Now I just have to catch a big one and build a fireplace like yours! |
