I bought my terrova this year used and only 1 year old. Manufacture date of 2014.

The unit works flawless in water depth less than 8ft, however when in 12FOW or deeper the unit is lite up as if there is bait balls everywhere however it is not a consistent bait line on the graph. It is intermittent and shows patches at varrying depths. I had a standard clamp on transducer on my HB788 previous to this terrova with US2 and didn't ever have these issues.

Wish I took a pic. What going on?

Do you get these issues when the Minnkota is not turned on but in the water? Might be an interference issue.

Well I have heard that if you contact Minnkota they can send you a insulator for you to add to the sonar cable. They have most of every thing good to go but occasionally there is more interference. Your not powering the sonar from the trolling battery?

No. Powered off the main fuse panel.
