I am planning on heading to the St. Croix later this week and I have never fished the section from Stillwater down to Prescott for Muskies. Can anyone give me any tips on: types of spots to look for and what boat launch is the best to put in at. If you prefer P.M. Me, I would appreciate any help!

Thanks!
Nate

The water is very high and the bite has been very slow by all accounts. Look for neckdown areas and any slack water with weed growth on it.

There is an area I call the "S" curve. It sits down around Afton. You'll know it when you get there because there is a large sandbar sticking out from the Wisconsin side, and the marker buoys make you navigate in an "S" pattern. Fish that area IF the weeds are present. It holds fish most of the time.

Good luck.....and CPR !!
