| Was this minor league team (also of Madison I believe) from the late 60's named of muskies (the fish)? Just curious.

| Nevermind. I would never think that a sports team would be named after a fairly uncommon fish. Maybe Sworral played for them back in the day.

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I do believe so, or it's named after the guy who ran for president, Ed Muskie? That card of Todd Van Poppel was a rip off, he was supposed to be the next Nolan Ryan but he turned out to be just an average pitcher. |

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | Someone can correct me if I am wrong. But I believe that the Minnesota Muskies were an ABA Basketball team. The name Connie Hawkins rings a bell as well. I think that he was their "star" player. Don't quote me on this, but I think that is what the deal was. |

That's right Mike,it was the ABA's Minnesota Muskie's and Connie was the Star player, on a pretty good playoff team.

Location: Chicago, IL | I know there is a semi-pro hockey team in Canada named the Muskies after the fish also. They actually have a awsome logo! I have tried to contact the team to see if I could buy one of their hats but never got a response. Oh well...lol
