| Hey all,
I swear I read about a small module from Minn Kota that charges the trolling motor system from the outboard motor system. IE - When the main starting battery is fully charged from the outboard, this system starts charging the trolling motor system.
Anyone know what the doggone thing is called and have a link to someone selling it?
Any help is appreciated,

Location: eagle river, wis | I have run the Stealth 1 units for the last 3 boats and its the best you can get.Small in size and weight and charges all batteries from the outboard altinator and has an add on 110 volt charger that works great with the system.

| I've had the Minn Kota DC charger since last year. It's a nice add on to have but it's not something that can fit in your back pocket. After I installed it about a year ago I think I only charged my trolling motors with my other charger two or three times all year.
It's a neat gadget to have but it's not something that is a "must have" unless you do a bunch of extended trips where access to a plug is not the greatest. |

| Anything that can help keep my trolling motor battery up is a good thing, I have a 55lb 12v v2 (one of the many things I'd do differently for my next boat). Really appreciate the tips guys! Thanks!

Location: Contrarian Island | the last thing I want at the end of a long day on a trip is low or no power on my batteries... when it's go time you need power... to me it is a must have... it especially shines on lakes like LOTW where you make long runs... I never went below 2 bars last year in big wind running around on LOTW with it... to me it is a must have and something boat mftrs could easily install from the factory.... |

Location: Watersmeet, Michigan | I'd check with my marine mechanic first. On a lot of outboards the alternator barely keeps the starting motor charged.

Location: Contrarian Island | not exactly sure what that statement means... the MK product charges the starting battery first, the kicks over to the TM batteries ...it has worked flawlessly on my 175 suzuki 4 stroke... |

| The boat I'm thinking of is my pontoon boat that is used mostly for recreational purposes. I use the trolling motor when throwing lures at the lake after everyone becomes too waterlogged from swimming/tubing and needs a break.
(I Can't spend a day on the lake without throwing SOMETHING at some point...)
I have a Minn Kota V2 55 on there and obviously a 55lb motor is marginal for a pontoon boat. I'm pretty sure that starting battery gets plenty of charge while the motor is running at 5500 dragging a tube around tho.
Thanks again for all the replies guys,
Looking into buying one of these here shortly.
