Anyone have a hummingbird side imaging graph on their Esox Mag. I recently purchased a Helix 5 si and can not get the side imaging or down imaging to read. I have been trouble shooting with Humminbird for a week and have moved my transducer to 3 different locations with no luck. The graphs sonar works great but the DI and SI are not reading anything. Does anyone have a sure fire location they would be willing to take a picture of and share? Any help would be appreciated.

There should be no issue mounting the transducer on the flats either side of the engine, there is no difference between that position on a Magnum and pretty much any other boat. DI has nothing to do with the placement as long as the transducer is wet, something odd going on there. Take this answer as one to your email to Tuffy, too, please.

Are you sure that the DI transducer is plugged in correctly? My 1760 has a Y cable to split the high speed transducer and the SI/DI cable. When I first hooked it up I had no SI or DI either, I realized I had to push pretty hard on the SI plug to get it to seat into the Y cable plug properly. After I seated it all the way it seems to be working well.

Now I just need to learn how to read it...

Thanks Steve. I sent Tuffy an email over the weekend stating the issues but have not heard back from them yet. Humminbird defiantly thinks it is a transducer issue. They are sending me a new transducer but it is backordered for two weeks.

I think I got it, must have went into Spam. So many emails on this one it is hard to keep them straight. I received my transducer on Friday and test ran it this weekend and it worked beautifully. All those holes for nothing. The side imaging beam even worked with the motor all the way down at running trim. Thanks for the help Steve.

Good to hear.

I would be interested in hearing more as you use it.

Right now it is the only SI unit close to my budget.
