East end around the small island was hot for us last weekend. Moonset had a big role in it though. Action was good for about a 2 hour window. Had action on black/orange top water and black/orange jerkbaits. Also had action on purple Bucktails. Also had some action in the narrows. Had 67 degrees on the east and 62 on the west

Fished the Pewaukee Classic with my son and nephew. We caught 2 muskies and raised 11 others. Three of the 11 tried to eat but missed or just didn't hooked. We also caught 3 pike in the low to mid thirtys range and 6 big large mouth bass. All in all we had action from 22 fish from 6:30am to 3pm.
The eastern basin was better with water temps in the low to mid 60's by 3pm.

Slammers we good, spinnerbait's caught fish, undertakes and reef hawgs produced, and little bucktails also moved some fish. We concentrated on 4 to 6ft of water most of the day and had action spread out all over. Didn't find any concentrations of fish or bait in any locations we fished through.

Gliders worked best early and minnow baits like Slammers worked aggressively showed us fish all day as did spinners baits and bucktails.

Get out and enjoy the action. Always a blast to get out for a day anf figure out the hot patterns and locations. I guess it helps to have grown up on Pewaukee Lake and know its patterns from Spring through Fall.

If only Mike could share some more of that knowledge, in depth, at a seminar in the near future.........

Oh wait....he is!

For those who wish to attend, Mike will be presenting at the Milwaukee Muskies Inc general meeting on Thursday, May 21st. General meeting starts at 7:30PM. The meeting will be held at the American Legion Post #449 located on 124'th street in Brookfield.

As always, this seminar is free to Muskies Inc members, any chapter, and for members of the Muskellunge Club of Wisconsin. We ask that all non-members of these clubs pay $5 at the door.
