Location: Lake Elmo, MN | Need some advice......
What GROUP starting battery do my fellow 620 owners run ?
I assume most of you have either a 225 or 250 Merc or similar motor plus a minimum of 2 Lowrance/Humminbirds, and livewells etc.
Making my purchase tomorrow and would love some input.
THX.

That's what I'd do. Make sure that Starting battery has at least 1000 MCA for that OptiMax. |

| Where do you find Interstate group 31 deep cycle batteries? I have never seen them listed on their site nor in any store. |

| 31M-AGM
The Interstate Dual Purpose wet cell is Group 27 845MCA, so I while it likely wok on your big Opti, I wouldn't. The 31-AGM has 1190 MCA, and good reserve, so all three or 4 batteries could be that one model. The 34M AGM could also work for your cranking battery. S,maller than the 31-AGM.
If you live near Milwaukee, I suggest going to Remy Battery on 43rd and Lincoln. They have a good selection to choose from, prices are reasonable, and they are knowledgeable. They had a group 30 battery I put in my last boat when I got it. Performance of a 31, but the size of a 29. Not sure if they still carry that one or not. I believe it was a Johnson Controls made battery. I had great success with them.
There are plenty of choices out there. Most of them ae made by just a couple mfg's. Johnson Controls being one of them. Interstate, Northern, Exide, Trojan, Dekka, and more. All good batteries.
