| I took my new exo 300 5.5 out to kinkaid today and I had a bear of a time dialing it in. What setting do most people have it on? I had it set on 2.5 or so and it felt like the spool stopped way quicker then I would have wanted, taking maybe 5-10 foot off of every cast. I was casting a 6 inch jake when the "incident" happened.
I was trying to set it up and made a side arm cast and the side plate flew in the water....(new one on its way). I swear I had it set to lock lol, lesson learned. This is why I carry an extra revo toro 50 in the boat just in case. | |

Location: NE PA | I have an exo in the 5.1 gear and have never had an issue. Great reel for me..as far as settings, I have never looked at the knob close enough to remember. I adjust soley by feel. | |
