| Hey guys, Would like some input on the Michigan/Ontario Musky Alliance and the new Muskies Inc. Chapter out of Lansing. I plan to join one, or maybe both of these clubs.
Seems like the Michigan/Ontario club is pretty well established, but focusses more on the trolling tactics of Lake St. Clair??? I have never been to a meeting, so I draw this conclusion only from things I have heard. The other thing that I am wondering is how closely they are tied to the DNR. Is conservation one of their guiding principles? Also, for clarification, this club is not associatd with Muskies Inc. in any way is it?
As for the Muskies Inc. Chapter, seems like things are still coming togather. No doubt Muskies Inc. is established, but sounds like the Michigan chapter is just coming togather.
Looking to meet fellow muskie fisherman, listen to some better known pro's/guides, swap lures, swap stories, etc.

Muskies Inc Chapter 47 was formed in April of 2001, we have accomplished more in the first 6 months than I had imagined possible. We have worked closely with the DNR on a "Know the Difference" sign project currently underway. You may have seen the signs on many of the inland lakes and soon there will be signs posted at many of the St Clair ramps. We have volunteered assistance to the DNR at Wolf Lake Hatchery and with parks projects. If you have seen the website you may have seen the fish log that was requested by the DNR so that they could get a better feel for the fishery. As with all Muskies Inc chapters we are conservation and education oriented. We are fortunate in Michigan to have a fisheries division that supports the Muskie program and is interested in continued expansion, that enables us to focus our attention on the education of Michigan fishermen.
The MOMC is a good club but I don't know much about them. What I do know is that they still sponsor and promote catch and kill tournaments in Lake St Clair.
